Golf Country
This amazing-looking Golf exhibited by Volkswagen at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show, was a serious design study for an off-road vehicle based on the Golf Syncro.
Volkswagen's marketing experts are using it to examine whether there is potential among cross-country vehicle buyers for a passenger car which combines off-road capabilities with saloon car comfort. If there is, and if this Golf is well received, Volkswagen may put it into production.
